2010 Fuel Ethanol Workshop
CPT would like to personally thank those that visited our booth at the 2010 Fuel Ethanol Workshop. It has been an exciting year for CPT and the week of the Workshop was no exception!
On Monday, June 14th, it was officially announced that CPT had been selected to install a corn dry fractionation system in the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) adjacent to the existing ethanol pilot plant located on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, in Edwardsville, Illinois. CPT is very excited to have been the selected technology and the opportunity for its fractionation system to be a critical component for advanced ethanol research, which will lead the ethanol industry toward lower operational costs, higher product values and more sustainable operations.
On Tuesday morning, June 15th, I made a presentation as part of the opening panel at the FEW. My presentation included a discussion about the new RFS2 regulations and how corn-based ethanol can become an “advanced ethanol” with fractionation as the pathway. Later that afternoon, Michael Regier, CPT’s Technical Director, made a presentation on the economic benefits of fractionation.
Then it was off to our booth! CPT enjoyed heavy traffic and lively discussions at its booth this year. Interest in fractionation has begun to rebound as more and more of the benefits from fractionation are realized.
Fractionation does what no other technology can do:
- Significantly Reduce Energy Consumption/GHG’s
- Create Food Products – Edible Corn Oil
- Create High Quality Feed Ingredients – Hi Pro DDG
- Create Feedstock for Cellulosic Ethanol – Bran
- Create Feedstock for Other Renewable Fuels – Corn Oil for Biodiesel
If you are interested in additional information or a one-on-one consultation, please contact me and I will be glad to answer your questions. You can also find information on the process here. Once again, my thanks go out to those that stopped by and visited us at the 2010 FEW Workshop. We hope to make our proven technology part of your ethanol future!
Sincerely,
Pete Moss Vice President of Marketing
